Laser resin welding device (production machine) transport mechanism

Adsorbing products and transporting them outside the device via a small belt conveyor! Introducing our production equipment.

We would like to introduce our production equipment equipped with a transport mechanism. This production device is equipped with a galvanometric scanning laser, which, after laser welding, adsorbs the product and transports it outside the device via a small belt conveyor. An air purge mechanism is installed near the laser irradiation port to prevent the intrusion of fumes. The changeover of fixtures is performed automatically. Furthermore, all of our laser welding devices comply with the JIS C6802 safety standards and are classified as Class 1. 【Example of installed equipment (partial)】 ■ Panasonic laser processing machine, maximum 100W, □400mm area ■ Four-point contact displacement sensor (measuring workpiece sinking) ■ Ophir power meter (confirming laser output value during routine inspections) ■ Load cell (confirming pressing force) ■ Pressurization method: Servo press *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Processing Report] Resin Welding (1)

Enshu Corporation's Optical Division introduces resin welding using semiconductor lasers!

In Enshu, we are exploring "what can be achieved through laser processing" and conducting trial processing. Plastic products, which have become indispensable in our lives, are particularly easy to handle due to the property of certain plastics that become soft when heat is applied, and they are used in numerous products. This report introduces "the joining of plastics using semiconductor lasers (resin welding)." 【Principle of Resin Welding】 1. Pressure is applied from both sides of the stacked plates while laser light is irradiated. 2. The lower plate's light absorption causes heating from the energy of the laser light. 3. The resin near the area where the laser is irradiated melts due to the heating. 4. The lower plate's light absorption again causes heating from the energy of the laser light. 5. When the laser irradiation stops, the melted area cools naturally and is welded. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Processing Report] Resin Welding (2)

Features and benefits of laser welding of resins that are not found in adhesives or ultrasonic welding.

This report introduces the "Characteristics and Benefits of Laser Resin Welding." Until now, methods for joining resins have included adhesives, ultrasonic welding, and high-frequency welding, but laser welding offers advantages not found in these methods. Laser resin welding can be performed as long as there is a space where the laser light can reach, allowing for a wide range of compatible shapes for the workpieces, and it can accommodate complex shapes such as three-dimensional forms. Furthermore, the appearance after welding is clean, so no finishing is required after processing. 【Features】 - Welding is possible as long as there is a space for the laser light. - A wide range of compatible shapes for the workpieces, capable of welding complex shapes. - The appearance after welding is clean, eliminating the need for finishing after processing. - Welding is possible even with a transmittance of 40-50%. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
